形态描述：根状茎长而横走，粗约3毫米，密被棕色节状长毛。叶疏生，柄长22-25厘米，基部直径3毫米，暗褐色，向上为棕禾稈色，粗糙有毛。叶片长35-70厘米，宽20－28厘米，长卵状三角形，三至四回羽状深裂，顶部为一回羽状；羽片8-16对，下部1－2对，一般长20-30厘米，宽8-20厘米，卵状披针形，先端渐尖，柄长7-25毫米，密生灰色腺毛，尤以腋间为多，近互生，斜向上，第一对距第二对约10-16厘米，第二对距第三对约7－8厘米，2-3回羽裂；一回小羽片14-20对，长6-10厘米，2.5-4厘米，披针形或阔披针形，先端渐尖，柄长2-4毫米，有狭翅，上先出，彼此接近或远离，1－2回羽状深裂；二回羽片10-14对，基部的长1-2.5厘米，宽5-11毫米，长圆形或长圆披针形，先端圆而有齿，基部近圆形，下延，和小羽轴的狭翅相连，羽状深裂达中脉1/2-2/3处；末回裂片长5毫米左右，长圆形，钝头，边缘有钝锯齿，下面中脉隆起，侧脉羽状分枝，直达锯齿。第三对羽片向上渐短，长10-13厘米，宽4-5厘米，长圆披针形或披针形。叶坚草质或纸质，干后黄绿色或草绿色，两面沿叶脉有短刚毛；叶轴、羽轴及小羽轴和叶柄同色，上面有狭沟，粗糙，有透明的灰色节状毛。孢子囊群圆形，生于小裂片基部两侧或上侧近缺刻处，中脉两侧1-4对；囊群盖由锯齿多少反捲而成，棕绿色或灰绿色，不变质，无毛。
